Wiltshire Air Ambulance (WAA)

With a close link to the emergency services Vale Oils wanted to support this fantastic charity. Helimed22 is operational up to 19 hours a day, 365 days a year and can reach anywhere in Wiltshire within 11 minutes. Flying at a top speed of 178 mph it carries the same equipment as a land ambulance and can accommodate a pilot, two paramedics, a patient and passenger.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance also use Rapid Response Cars if this is quicker or the helicopter is unable to fly. These specialist vehicles also carry the same equipment that is onboard the helicopter.

True Heroes Racing (THR)

True Heroes Racing is the brain child of a serving Royal Navy Sailor who was lucky enough to return from several tours in Afghanistan uninjured. After working alongside many injured UK service personnel, it was decided to try and use competitive motorsport as a way of restoring a sense of direction and focus for our injured UK service personnel. In 2012, True Heroes Racing was formed which set about achieving something quite unheard of.

The project has already helped service personnel back into education and encouraged members to focus on their general health. In time they wish to offer motorsport related employment, providing further challenges for injured service personnel.

Being a member of this team proves that they can compete on a level playing field with their able bodied counterparts, as well as proving their injuries do not have to limit the activities they can undertake.
